The KidZone is a place for children to experience the love God has for them while having fun! The classes provide a safe environment where children can learn about God through Bible stories, games, fun activities and crafts. Each class is overseen by two or more teachers depending on the number of children per class.
The classes are divided into the following age groups:
The Pre-Teens are the children who have just transitioned from the KidZone. They have classes where the main focus is to prepare them for their teen years ahead. A curriculum is in place to train and captivate their young minds and hearts. They are also engaged through fun and games, outings and special devotionals with their peers and parents. The aim of this ministry is to build a close-knit family culture.
The Teen Ministry is about cultivating the hearts and minds of teenagers into knowing God through the scriptures. The lessons are tailored to meet the challenges of our society, a biblical answer to the increasing influence of media and secular notions of what is acceptable and right. Teen workers, mentors and parents are Christians who dedicate their time to advancing the pursuit of God's will, collaborate to shape the future leaders of God's body with the guidance and vision that is necessitated by social contradictions to The Bible. The ministry is a safe haven that encourages fun activities that help build and strengthen Godly friendships; these range from sports, trips and outings.
The annual Youth Camp is the peak event in the ministry's calendar where children and teens from several parts of Southern Africa converge in one arena for a whole week during the summer break. Youth Camp is an amalgamation of fun, creating great memories balanced with lessons from each other and counsellors who serve to ensure that the Lord is honoured with all the activities of the camp
Our youth and family ministry is one of the biggest ministries within the church. Our main focus is to build good family values even in families where single parents are raising their children. We meet for Bible discussions in small family groups in each other's homes, some of these Bible discussions are followed by a meal. This instils a good “family orientated” fellowship.
Parents are responsible for teaching their children: “These words that I am giving you today are to be in your heart. Repeat them to your children. Talk about them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up” (Deuteronomy 6:6-7)
Children need loving discipline: “And fathers, don’t stir up anger in your children, but bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord” (Ephesians 6:4)
We have a vibrant singles ministry composed of young professionals, mature singles and single parents. This ministry meets together often to encourage one another and strive to help each other to stay close to God. There are a vast number of activities planned by this group to encourage interaction and fellowship with one another. Being single does not have to be lonely when you have your bretheren surrounding you!
